A Prayer After Psalm 27

is my light and my salvation,<br>
of whom shall I fear?<br>
The Lord is the strength of my life,<br>
of whom shall I be afraid?<br>
<br>
Though troubles be all around me,<br>
I will not be afraid.<br>
Though my enemy rises against me,<br>
I will trust in the Lord.<br>
<br>
For one thing I have asked,<br>
one thing I seek;<br>
to live in the House of the Lord<br>
all of my days.<br>
<br>
For in the day of trouble,<br>
he will keep my safe.<br>
He will be my hiding place,<br>
and my feet he will set upon the rock.<br>
<br>
Teach me your ways, O lord,<br>
and make my path straight.<br>
<br>
Wait upon the Lord.<br>
Take courage and be strong,<br>
and wait upon the Lord.
